An
incredible golf season with great weather
conditions and superior quality of the greens is coming to an end. John Scott, club superintendent and his
team are to be congratulated for another outstanding year. Day after day,
maintenance of the greens, bunkers, fairways and practice facility took place
to provide a remarkable environment for Summerlea
members. Thumps up, Summerlea Golf
& Country Club who provides its members with an exceptional lifestyle
and access to the tee!
A full calendar of social functions, themed dinners and various
tournaments is coming to an end as well. Members, guests and staff alike are
happily saying goodbye to season 2012 and looking forward to golf season 2013.
From the Brazilian Night in May to the Oktoberfest Closing Tournament in
October, the golf and the social events were greatly appreciated and
participants came was in large number.
Let’s not forget the BBQs by the poolside. Mingling and socializing
under the Summerlea summer breeze, leaves, no doubt a mesmerizing experience. And Chef Juergen’s cooking classes under
the sun gave us a chance to improve our culinary skills. The lobster, in its
creamy, delicious sauce and exotic flavors gave our taste buds
instant satisfaction.
As usual Jim
Vandette, Head Golf Professional and his team, took great pride in
delivering quality products, exceptional member service and golf programs.
Summerlea guests accompanied by a few
members were able to enjoy our First Annual
Green Carpet Event. The day started up with a breakfast and registration.
The weather condition – hot and humid provided a pleasurable golf experience. We
were lucky. With the dark clouds floating over our heads, Summerlea worked its magic and held off the rain until the end of
the golf. After golf, every one of our guests raved about the cocktail hour and
canapés, à la Summerlea style. Pâtés,
lobsters and muscles were part of the delicacies. It never gets old at Summerlea, so they say! The guests
departed with a memorable experience
and many could not help themselves but to become part of the Summerlea community by becoming a member.
